Brettonwoods Approach and Methods:

AIMS
  • Brettonwood aims to create a partnership between client and consultant dedicated to improving performance and getting results. Our objective is to assist our clients to operate more effectively
  • Brettonwood aims to promote equal opportunities and access by providing technical assistance (TA) and consultancy advice to all sectors of the economy – public, private and voluntary.

CLIENT SUPPORT

  • Brettonwood offers extensive support in a wide rage of business operations. Experienced consultants use a team approach to solving problems, working closely with clients’ staff at all levels. A key role is played in building effective work groups, and in motivating and encouraging genuine employee commitment to secure sustainable improvements.
  • Our strength lies in ‘process’ and ‘resource’ consulting techniques: enabling client organisations and people to identify their own problems, and facilitating the process to find their own solutions. That gives ownership and commitment to sustained results and outcomes. We bring leading-edge knowledge and experience to bring to bear on projects to achieve enduring improvements.

CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Brettonwood abides by the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC)’s Code of Conduct. They will accept only those assignments which our consultants are qualified and able to carry out. They will respect confidential information concerning clients’ business, and will not disclose such information without clients’ permission. Brettonwood is a registered practice of the IMC.

WORKING PRACTICE

Brettonwood consultants are trained to establish a sound working relationship with Clients and their employees, based on a clear understanding of the client’s needs.

  • Consulting programmes are always preceded by a thorough survey of the Client’s requirements.
  • The results of the survey and the scope of the recommended consulting programmeare included in a proposal, which also contain estimates of the calendar time and costs necessary to accomplish the work successfully.
  • The consulting programme will start with the preparation of an Assignment Plan, which is presented for discussion and agreement. The Client is encouraged to provide information to his staff concerning the nature and objectives of the consultancy programme of work, and Brettonwood will assist in doing this.
  • Recommendations are submitted at relevant stages in the consultancy work programme. Every care is taken to ensure that they are thoroughly examined and discussed by all concerned before they are implemented. Where apprpriate a detailed Implementation Plan is prepared.
  • Brettonwood will provide the Client’s staff with the necessary training and information to operate new systems and procedures.
  • At the conclusion of the consultancy programme the Client will be presented with a report which summarises the work done and the benefits obtained.
